Meet the Team

Haylee is a native San Diegan, and has been interested in urbanism since undergraduate school. She sits on the Mobility Board, advising the Mayor and City Council on matters relating to transportation. Haylee started STSD by organizing in-person events.

Kyle brings his background in Political Science to STSD, as well as his experience living in Washington D.C. Kyle sits on the Navajo community planning board, and is responsible for putting together STSD’s foundational documents.

Sam moved to San Diego over a decade ago, and has been living a car-lite lifestyle ever since. He is a self-taught urbanist, having read all the books, and is responsible for the creation of our website.
